How to use the 'Input Text' feature?

Here’s how to get started:

1. Access Input Text Feature

From your Supanote dashboard:

  1. Locate Input Text in the top-right section of your dashboard

  2. Click to open the text input interface

In the Input Text window:

  1. Type or paste your session notes – any format works:

    • Bullet points from during-session notes

    • Paragraph summaries written post-session

    • Brief observations and interventions used

Example input:

"Client reported increased anxiety about job transition. Sleep patterns remain disrupted. Practiced progressive muscle relaxation. Client responded well to cognitive restructuring exercises. Homework assigned: daily mood tracking and breathing exercises. Next session: review progress and explore workplace coping strategies."


2.Select your client from the dropdown menu (or create new client profile)

3.Choose note template


Important: Don't worry about grammar, clinical terminology, or perfect formatting – Supanote optimizes everything automatically.

3. Generate Professional Documentation

Processing:

  1. Click Create Note

  2. Supanote instantly transforms your informal text into structured clinical documentation

  3. Your professionally formatted draft appears in Notes Pending Review

The transformation includes:

4. Review and Customize

Finalization process:

  1. Navigate to Notes Pending Review and click View Note

  2. Review the AI-generated clinical documentation

  3. Make refinements using:

    • Direct editing for manual text modifications

    • AI Editor for specific adjustments:

      • "Expand assessment section with DSM-5 terminology"

      • "Convert to bullet-point format"

      • "Align language with DBT therapeutic approach"

      • "Add relevant treatment planning elements"

  4. Click Mark as Reviewed to complete documentation

  • Best for catch-up: Input Text is perfect if you jot down quick bullets during sessions and want to clean them up later.

  • Great for late-night notes: Even if you’re tired, just paste what you managed to type - Supanote does the heavy lifting.

  • Consistency bonus: If you always want notes to use terms like “Pt” or “clinician”, set these in Note Preferences so Supanote applies them automatically.
