When to Use Smart Dictate

1. Access Smart Dictate

From your dashboard:

  1. Locate the Smart Dictate feature card

  2. Click Start Talking

2. Record Your Session Summary

Recording process:

  1. Click Start Recording in the Smart Dictate window

  2. Speak naturally about your session – no script needed

What you might include:

  • Session context and themes (“We focused on managing her work anxiety”)

  • Client behavior or progress (“He reported sleeping better, used coping skills”)

  • Interventions used (“We practiced thought-challenging and guided breathing”)

  • Clinical observations (“Mood more stable, still showing mild social withdrawal”)

  • Follow-ups or next steps (“Will assign journaling before next session”)

3. Generate Professional Documentation

Completion steps:

  1. Click Stop Recording when finished

  2. Select your client from the dropdown (or create new client profile)

  3. Choose appropriate note template

  4. Click Create Note

Your structured clinical note will be ready within seconds.

4. Review and Finalize

Quality control process:

  1. Navigate to Notes Pending Review on your dashboard

  2. Click View Note to review the generated content

  3. Make refinements using:

    • Manual editing for direct text modifications

    • AI Editor for quick adjustments ("Make more concise," "Add relevant ICD-10 codes")

  4. Click Mark as Reviewed to move to completed documentation
