This step-by-step guide will have you generating professional notes in under 10 minutes – no technical experience required.



1. Set Up Your Account

Start your free 7-day trial:

  1. Enter your email and create a secure password

  2. Click Create Account

That's it – no credit card required. You'll have immediate access to all features during your trial period.


Already registered? Simply click "Sign In" at the bottom right of the page.

2. Create Your First Note

Supanote offers four flexible input methods to fit your preferred workflow:


🎙️ Start Session – Record live during client sessions
💬 Start Talking – Dictate your session summary post-appointment
📁 Upload Audio – Import existing session recordings
✏️ Input Text – Type or paste session details directly

After selecting your preferred method:

  • Choose your client from the dropdown (or add a new client profile)

  • Select your note template (SOAP, DAP, BIRP, or choose from 10+ specialized formats)

  • Click Generate

Within seconds, your professionally formatted draft note will appear.

Important: Supanote generates drafts only – you maintain complete control over final approval and edits.

3. Review and Customize Your Note

Your AI-generated draft appears in Notes Pending Review. Think of this as your starting point for customization.


Editing options:

  • Manual Editing: Click anywhere in the note to modify text directly

  • AI-Powered Editing: Use our Supa AI Edit feature – simply type or speak requests like:

    • "Make this more CBT-focused"

    • "Reduce to 200 words"

    • "Add more detail about treatment goals"

  • Template Switching: Apply different note formats instantly

Pro Tip: Supanote's AI learns from your edits, making each subsequent note more aligned with your clinical style and preferences.

4. Export to Your EMR/EHR system

Supanote integrates seamlessly with any Electronic Health Record system through simple copy-paste functionality.


Two export options:

  1. Copy Note (top-right button) – Copy formatted text directly

  2. Download PDF – Generate a clean, printable version

Integration Best Practice: Create a standard note template in your EHR system, then paste Supanote content directly – no reformatting required.

5. Complete Your Documentation

Once you've reviewed and finalized your note:

  • Click Mark as Reviewed (bottom-left)

  • The completed note automatically files under your client's secure profile

  • Your documentation is complete and ready for insurance submission
